Weapons Merry-Go Round

Israel is selling its un-manned drones, which Georgia used against Russia, to Russia. The US is selling the UAE the upgraded Patriot missile defense system, and assorted other weapons to Arab countries. Iran, Syria,Venezuela and Russia all cooperate with transportation, fleets, ports, weapons, training, and communications, and US Defense companies help any nation with any project if they pay. North Korea ships nuclear reactor parts and technicians to Syria. China works the web and technology to spy on the US and everyone else, and the US knows but keeps quiet since we are friends with China kind of. Israel will give Syria the Golan if Syria won’t be best friends with Iran and promises not to attack Israel. The US protects Syria and gave it nukes in Saddam’s time to be used against Iran. Israel objected and bombed the facilities, and Pollard was crucified for it, with Israel’s help and participation. Pakistan gives nuclear know-how and parts to North Korea and anyone else who hates the West, but cooperates with the West where necessary to keep its leaders alive and in power, and cooperates with Islamic Jihadis the rest of the time. India’s tight with the US and Israel and cooperates in nuclear weapons. But in today’s globalist politics, there are no friends or enemies, just moves to make towards a goal. We see this clearly in Israel, where Jews are victimized by their own Israeli government for the sake of the global plan.

There are no national or religious loyalties, no moral right or wrong, in the network of the world power brokers and their subsidiaries. However, the battle is not won for this group, and the conflicts and mistreatment of those they see as opponents is proof. How can some religious people in Israel or the US or anywhere, be a danger to such power? Their fear should give us more courage to fight the wrong we see being played out on the world stage, rather than to give up.

US: Russia’s S-300 missile sale to Iran marks Israel’s decision point
Debka-An American military intelligence official says Russia’s sale of S-300 long-range missiles to Iran presents a “decision point for Israel, since once the anti-aircraft system is in place it could deter any strike” against Iran’s nuclear sites. In this first gloomy statement, the American source did not rule out such a strike but implied it would be more difficult.

State department spokesman Robert Wood said Monday, Dec. 22: “We have repeatedly made clear that we would strongly oppose the sale of S-300.” US officials warned the missiles installed within Iran’s borders could reach American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and shift the Middle East military balance of power.

DEBKAfile’s military sources point to the confusion contrived by Moscow about the state of the consignment. Nonetheless, an American source said Tuesday: “The US believes it is taking place.” In Moscow, a “military-diplomatic source” said Monday the S-300 systems are being packed up and prepared for shipment to Iran: “S-300 air defense systems,” he added, “are expected to be delivered from the defense ministry’s warehouses.” The latter statement indicates that the missiles going to Iran are coming out of Russia’s own emergency stores and not waiting to come off production lines.

In response to media reports regarding the sale of S-300 systems to Iran, Vyacheslav Davidenko, spokesman of the Rosoboronexport arms exporters, said Monday without mentioning the missile by name: “At present exclusively defense systems, air defense systems fall within this category, are supplied to Iran,” adding: The Tor-M1 missile aid defense systems were earlier supplied to Iran.”

DEBKAfile’s military sources draw two conclusions from the Russian official’s comment: One, that Moscow first sold Tehran a short-range air defense system and is now following up with the long-range S-300 to round off the full range of its air defenses; and two, a sales pitch is advising the Arab regimes to count on Russia – rather than America – to look after their defensive requirements for important strategic sites just like Iran. The same message was conveyed by the gift of 10 MiG-29 fighter jets Moscow made to Lebanon earlier this month.

The Russian government’s actions refute the soothing assurance by its Tel Aviv ambassador who denied Moscow planned a missile transaction with Iran or had begun deliveries.

Washington asks Israel to clarify first sale of spy drones to Russia
Debka – A $10-12 million transaction for Moscow to purchase Israeli spy drones for the Russian army is in negotiation with Israel’s Aerospace Industries. The Russian Kommersant reported Tuesday, Dec. 16 that Gen. Vladimir Popovkin, head of Russia’s armed forces, visited Israel in November for talks on the purchase of a first batch of the unmanned reconnaissance drones which Georgia used successfully in its conflict with Russia last August.

DEBKAfile’s military sources reported on Dec. 18 that the sale, if finally approved by the defense ministry in Tel Aviv, would be Israel’s first advanced hardware sale to Russia. It would also mark a reversal of Israeli policy, since the Russian army would almost certainly use the drones in another future round of hostilities with Georgia over the breakaway regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

A drone transaction with Moscow would give the Russian army a technological-intelligence edge over Caucasian and Caspian nations, like Georgia and Azerbaijan, and therefore place in doubt their future arms purchases from Israel.

Jerusalem consulted with Washington over the deal, as required under the US-Israel 2006 security pact covering Israeli weapons transfers to third countries. The advanced state of Israel-Russian negotiations indicates its approval by the outgoing Bush White House and incoming Obama administration in line with their efforts to improve relations with Moscow.
