How much is a US Security Council veto worth now? What should Israel give the US for a fickle proxy? The price is too high, since the price is the surrender of Israeli sovereignty and territory to the Arab League, and/or the sacrifice of Israeli Jews and Arabs to Iran.

The political winds in America are blowing against Obama. Even with his relatively free hand in foreign affairs, the ill winds will necessarily slow him down. Israel should do nothing to smooth his path forward.
