It has been reported today that four Muslims, including a former employee of JFK Airport from Guyana and a government official from Guyana have been planning for over a year to blow up a fuel line feeding JFK Airport in New York City. The plan was evidently very well designed and researched, and would have been a major strike on the US, destroying the JFK Airport and part of Brooklyn.
The plotters had sought technical expertise and explosives from Muslim terrorists based in the Caribbean. Early on, the FBI heard of the potential plot and were able to place an informant within the group, who recorded their plans and conversations and gathered information until the plot was close to being put into action. At that point the FBI was able to make indictments against the Muslim terrorists. Three were arrested, and one escaped.
There are many interesting aspects to this, beyond the ambitious scope and potential danger of the plot. The goal is not surprising, since it appears that Muslim terrorists are obsessed with hitting symbolic US targets and shutting down air transportation, which is critical to the US as with most other nations. It would have caused panic and confusion, and made a serious impact on the economy.
But the interesting thing in this case is the origins and methods of the terrorists. They are from Guyana, not a powerful or well-respected nation, being poor and small in size. They didn’t look for help from the established Arab or north African terror groups, but from a group based in the Caribbean. This says two important things about the scope of international Islam:
1. The principle of Islamic domination of the world and the value of terrorism to achieve that goal has become embedded in Muslim nations world wide. It appears that supporting that goal, at least tacitly, is the norm rather than the exception. The plotters found it easy to find like minded people, and did not think it odd when an outsider came in, expressing the desire to help them destroy the US, in the middle of the US.
While liberal Muslims in the orthodox Muslim countries have begun more and more to speak out against the world dominion teachings that originated in their countries, in the smaller and less respected nations of the world and among some of their citizens, the dream appears to be growing, of making the biggest and best attack on the US as the way to glory, respect and power. Whoever managed that would rise into prominence and gain a great deal of influence in the Muslim world, especially in the realm of world dominion Islam.
The Islam of the Arab countries is has a definite preference towards Arabs. They are the top tier in their thinking. “Brothers” from other parts of the world are welcome as converts to increase their power, influence and resources, but they do not have the same status as Arabs in the hierachy. When you are number two, you try harder! If you are a non-Arab Muslim, being less respected in the international religious order and you come from a country which has little standing in the world order, what better way to catapault yourself and perhaps your country to the top of the pecking order, than to be the David that destroys the Goliath of the United States?
2. This group led by Guyanans was approached by the established terrorist groups originating in the Mideast, but refused their offers, preferring to deal with Caribbean Islamists, who are more like homeboys to the Guyanans.
The Mideastern Islamic domination groups have long been busy establishing large bases in South America and exporting their nightmare to the inexperienced people of Latin America.
Latin America, dwarfed, manipulated, sat upon and also benefitted by their giant neighbor to the north, have long been susceptible to dreams of grandeur and revenge, and the desire to gain respect in the world:politically, economically and ethnically. The Islamicists found it easy to gain access to South America.
However, it looks like they did not take into account the character of the South Americans. The Latin Americans do not want to trade one master for another, they want to have the respect in their own right. That is why the drug cartel lords are heroes, as long as they don’t kill too many of their neighbors.
Christian Liberation Theology and Communism have been working on the Latin American Countries for many years, to convince the people that they are at the bottom of the totem pole and need to overthrow their oppressors, and that they should trust nobody but themselves, and seek to remedy the situation. Latin Americans are a sensible people by and large, made up of several ethnic groups, but this dream of violent glory has always been infectious to the various parts of their society. Mostly the efforts have been to overthrow local dictators, and their vision has not been global.
But with the coming of the Mideastern Muslims to their land, and the rise of Islam in the world, some have learned a wider view, and vastly greater possibilities. Latin America is uniquely placed to gain glory, because they are the next door neighbors of Goliath.
Who knows but that they might be able to become pre-eminent in the Islamic world? So why ally with the Arab Islamicists who are marked and watched, if the resources to accomplish this great feat exists among their own people? The resources do exist, because the Arab Islamic dominion set, and the addicts and criminals of the world gave them the means.
The orthodox Mideastern and North African terrorists will be dealing with this in one way or another. If their main motivation is idealogical, they will work to bring in the South American Muslim terrorists as more equal partners. If the main motivation is the power and gain of their own group, then the Mideastern terrorists will fight the South American terrorists as a threat.
If the latter is the case, this will be of some benefit to the US, and also to Israel, as it will weaken the Islamic effort and slow their progress.
However, there is a third factor in this western hemisphere scenario, which is Iran and the Shiite ambitions. Hizbullah and the Iranian guard are very powerful, and have also established a strong presence in South America. It is the Iranian Shiite Muslims, Persians and not Arabs, with their apocalyptic fervor and chess master strategies, who have attacked Jewish and American targets in South America. Sometimes the Shiites and Sunnis work together, having so many goals and motivations in common, and sometimes they compete. In South America we see a three way triangle developing, and how that triangle settles will have a strong effect on the US and the world in general.
