Plenty is happening in the world right now, crises which have been brewing for quite awhile are gathering strength–the pressure cookers are screaming, the abscesses are about to break. In the case of Israel and Israel-US relations, it is much ado about nothing, but it is still much ado.
Palestinians and their communist, anarchist and Islamic friends from the EU and US are attacking Jews with more frequency and more abandon in Israel. They think they have nothing to fear, because most of the world is behind them. Consequently Israel has closed off access to Judea and Samaria to keep the Arab violence from spreading, which of course means more riots.
Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, representatives of Obama and our anti-Semitic State Department, are trying to publicly humiliate Israel for authorizing apartments for Jews in the capital of Israel. If the announcement had been for 1600 apartments for Arabs, Hillary Clinton would have swooned in ecstasy. The US government makes a fool of itself with racist and unfounded condemnations, to please Saudi robber barons and the rabid left.
Israel is such an easy target, because diplomatically it always apologizes, always comes back for more, always gives in, at least in part. Why?
1. Because Israel is still too much controlled by the old school left, those who hate nations and their own people, being disciples of the One World.
2. The Israeli government still thinks one hand can wash the other, even when the other is covered in manure.
How much is a US Security Council veto worth now? What should Israel give the US for a fickle proxy? The price is too high, since the price is the surrender of Israeli sovereignty and territory to the Arab League, and/or the sacrifice of Israeli Jews and Arabs to Iran. Israel does not need the US, and should quit bowing to Obama and the State Department.
It is nobody’s business where Israel builds apartments, for whom, how many, or when it is announced. It’s nobody’s business where it builds roads, where it builds walls and fences, or how it distributes water internally. Those who foment attacks on Israel and Israelis should be imprisoned or deported, at a minimum, even if they are officials from other countries. This is the proper policy for sovereign nations, not to tolerate foreign infiltration, subversion and violence within its borders, nor to submit quietly to aggression from outside its borders, whether military or diplomatic.
Netanyahu, despite occasional strong words, has a very weak record when it comes to strength. He has been too much the politician, too much the citizen of the world. May he begin to surprise Israel and the world with steady strength, wisdom, and loyalty to Israel.
