I can see a clear pattern developing in relation to Iran. Israel wants to stop the final stages of construction of Iran’s new nuclear reactor. Other nations would too. But, Obama is having political problems in the U.S. and the outlook for the November elections look bad for the Democrats. Would Obama order a U.S. strike at this late date against Iran and its nuclear site(s)? Why, conservatives and independents alike might say, Obama is not so bad after all, look, he is protecting us from nuclear proliferation.
Since the late 1980s (H.W. Bush administration) the U.S. has known of the transfer of terrorism from Iran to Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza through Venezuela into South and Central America and presumably across our porous southern U.S. / Mexican border. Hundreds, if not thousands, of mid-east terrorists have been carried across our borders undoubtedly with weapons. If we strike Iran, Iran and the terrorist groups will strike at the heart of the U.S. Not just in NYC but in dozens or even hundreds of locations. We will be in a full scale war.
They have had 25 years to prepare. Have we prepared? No, our myopic leaders have let it slide.
We are in deep trouble.
