There is alot of talk about the assassination of the Arab creep, Mahmoud Al-Mabhuh, founder of Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades. Most people are saying the Mossad did it, but of course they say that whenever a famous Arab dies, unless some Arab group claims credit for it. If the Mossad did kill Al-Mabhuh, good work. If they didn’t, congratulations to whoever did, unless it was Hamas, which is very possible. Maybe several of Al-Mabhuh’s many enemies killed him as a joint venture.
It’s curious that the Al Qassam Brigades announced his death from cancer in a UAE hospital on Jan. 20, 2010 in the PA’s Ma’an News. the same day he died, but before his body was found. Sure sounds like Hamas or Fatah knew about it first. They certainly knew he wasn’t in a hospital dying of terminal cancer. The videos show him(?) walking around and looking fine, and his family knew where he was.
Curious also is that immediately as the story broke, Al-Mabhuh’s son said his dad died of natural causes, although not cancer. Why did he say that?
In case Ma’an news takes down the story, here’s a pdf of the Ma’an story. However, they’ve left it up this far, so they must not be bothered by the strange contradictions in timing, location and cause of death.
Mahmud Abbas benefits greatly from that man’s death. It sounds like people in Hamas are glad to see him gone, too. Abbas has many friends in Europe, the UN, and the US. Maybe he put the contract out on Al Mabhuh, and got Europe to do it for him. Or maybe Europe and the Mossad worked together on it. Maybe Dubai told Al-Mabhuh not to worry or get guards, they have security, they’d take care of him.
Now everyone is happy! One more creep has left the world, Hamas has one less internal rival and one more martyr, Fatah can sound grave and concerned and use it as propaganda, Abbas can sleep a little better at night, the EU loves this kind of stuff, and Israel’s reputation is enhanced, whether or not the Mossad did it.
