Lavrov: Mideast process depends of unification of all Palestinian groups

When it comes to Israel and the Arab occupiers and neighbors, the world powers speak with a united voice… Russia, like Turkey, wants the influential “honest broker” role in the Mideast, now that Obama is busy moving the US into the next phase of the globalist roadmap, and is occupied with tightening the screws on Israel and making his bed.

Russian foreign minister Lavrov is in Damascus for the annual Organization of American States Conference. Russia swears undying love for Syria, just like it loves Syria’s big sister Iran, although there is something going on about fighter planes. Maybe Syria missed a payment and hoped their Russian buddies would overlook it. Or maybe Israel’s drones, that will make a stronger Russian air force, are more tempting to Russia than a strong Syrian air force. Does what Israel gets now, with the drone bargaining chips cancel out the possibility that those same drones will be duplicated and could later fly against Israel? The Israeli government must think so.

Meantime Iran and Saudi Arabia continue to compete for dominance in the Islamic sphere, and for dominance over their many western suitors. Oil and anti-Semitism make such a sexy perfume.
DAMASCUS, May 23 (Itar-Tass) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said it is necessary to resume the Middle East peace process by uniting all Palestinian groups on the PLO platform.

Speaking at the 36th session of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference on Saturday, Lavrov said the resumption of the peace process in the Middle East “should be started by uniting all Palestinian groups on the PLO platform”.

“The Moscow conference on the Middle East should be the second step towards resuming the political process in the region. The world community reached a consensus on this aspect. Russia’s position is to ensure the comprehensive settlement on all tracks – Palestinian, Syrian and Israeli ones,” the Russian minister stressed.
