In many Islamic nations Christians are systematically being persecuted and frequently murdered by Muslims, just as Jews were persecuted and driven out of Islamic lands in the last generation. The basic reason is that the Islamic fundamentalists who have taken power in most of the Muslim nations believe in driving out and murdering Christians and Jews wherever they are in reach. That part is simple to understand.
The bigger question is, why does the world, and especially western Christian leadership at large avert its eyes? Why do they not care what happens to people who they call their brothers in missionary appeals? And why do these missionary appeals not include protection, defense, safety, or even speaking out for their brethren?
Perhaps the western Christians are much like our far left Jewish brothers. Perhaps they are such pacifists that they believe letting other people die is righteous, especially people of your religion and for whom you should feel some fondness and loyalty. And by that measure, what could be more righteous than participating in the death of your brothers, as is being done indirectly?
Or maybe it is not so idealistic. Maybe it is simply a matter of treachery, of profit, of betting on who you think will be the winners…
No more objection is raised to the mistreatment of Christians around the world than is raised to the mistreatment of Jews. Christian land is stolen, Christian businesses extorted or bombed, Christians are driven out and sometimes murdered in cold blood, just like Jews were and still are. Who cares? Certainly not their brethren in other lands, nor their leadership. Did the Pope complain about what is happening to Christians in Israel or Lebanon at the hands of the Muslims he is sucking up to? No, but he appoints bishops in Israel who hate Jews and ignore the welfare of their own people for the sake of politics. No word of complaint has been heard against Muslims, only against Israel, which is innocent of the real crimes that should be horrifying the world.
In the US, Arab Christians come to speak to liberal churches and at universities. They are treated as heroes and get a good audience among liberal Christians and Jews in the US, Canada and Europe. They come to deceive and gain money for an evil cause, but worse, they come betraying their own people. They are collaborating with their enemies. Is it done through fear? Truly the collaboration appears to be wholehearted and not coerced. Are they well paid for their work? Do they think they will gain personally? Who knows? None of these Christian Arabs who go on speaking tours for Fatah and the PLO mention why they work for those who steal their family’s land and murder their neighbors.
The same questions can be asked about American Jewish and Western Christian organizations who support this anti-Israel, anti-Jewish, anti-Christian and anti-West coalition of Islam, Internationalism and the far Left. Many wonder: Are these people evil, stupid, or both? Their masters probably just love them as they are.
Treachery and delusion are the epidemics we should really fear and seek to cure. The mental and spiritual illnesses are more deadly in the end than the physical. It’s profitable and certainly easy to pretend to be an enlightened international being with no personal feelings or loyalties. Shallow people do it all the time. It’s much more difficult and less profitable to look critically at your own heart and try to live your life with honesty, honor, compassion, ethics, logic and justice.
The leadership of this generation, across the whole world, is driving towards destruction and dragging the fearful and indifferent majority with it.
But, as in all evil times, some are standing up with courage to oppose evil. Let those who have it in them to oppose evil stand up for all people, Jews, Christians, Muslims and many others who are being persecuted by the coalition that loves slavery and death. It only takes one voice to break the silence. Two become a group, three a movement…it is not difficult to do what’s right.
